Särkänkoti is a home-like 46-place 24-hour service housing unit for the elderly, built in 2016 and located in the center of Orivesi. Särkänkoti is easily accessible by public transport, for example from Tampere. At Särkänkoti, the person is most important. The focus is on the clients' good life according to their own wishes, and we use a resource-based working method. At Särkänkoti, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team. As a charge nurse, you will serve as a nursing expert, a partner to the supervisor, and as a substitute for the immediate supervisor when necessary. Your work includes diverse administrative tasks agreed upon with supervisors, as well as independent and multidisciplinary nursing tasks. You are responsible for coordinating client care and managing the work groups involved in care during your shift. You will work closely with various operators and partners to promote clients' functional capacity and quality of life. Additionally, as a healthcare professional, you are responsible for nursing expertise, the guidance of nurses, development, and quality assurance. Teaching, guidance, and counseling are diverse parts of your duties. Together with the immediate supervisor, you are responsible for, among other things, the up-to-date nature of the medication plan, self-monitoring, safety, and quality development. What kind of expert are we looking for? - You are a registered nurse in Finland and have administrative experience or training. - You master RAI processes and tools. - You have good oral and written skills in Finnish. - You have good IT skills and are proficient in the systems required for the work. - You have good interaction and negotiation skills. You work well in a team and have strong networking skills. - You have experience working with the elderly and skills in interacting with clients with memory diseases. - You have good stress tolerance, a customer-oriented mindset, the ability to manage large entities, and a positive attitude toward development. - You have successfully completed the LOVe medication web tests (LOP, PKV, KIPU 1, vaccination, GER 1 and GER 2, and warfarin dose determination permit). If necessary, you can complete the medication competence package at the workplace immediately at the start of employment. Start date is from the beginning of September or by agreement. The position is fixed-term until January 17, 2027. The probationary period is half the duration of the employment. The working time is full-time, averaging 38 h 15 min/week. Shifts are focused on weekday mornings. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Records Act before the start of employment. Additionally, the selected candidate must have valid vaccine protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016). Interested?
