HUS is seeking a Chief Physician for pediatric surgery, a role that includes the duties of a Line Manager. The pediatric surgery line operates at the New Children's Hospital, Hyvinkää Hospital, and YTA areas in Kymenlaakso, Päijät-Häme, and South Karelia. The New Children's Hospital performs approximately 7,000 surgeries annually across various specialties, including general pediatric surgery, pediatric orthopedics and traumatology, pediatric urology, cardiovascular surgery, and transplantation surgery. The Chief Physician is responsible for developing the treatment of broad pediatric procedural fields and rare diseases, monitoring international developments, and implementing new applications and treatment methods. The Line Manager also supports research and teaching in their specialties. Successful performance requires experience in management and operational development, flexibility, and cooperation skills. Emphasis is placed on the ability to develop the line's operations and processes alongside other functions of the result unit, as well as people management skills.
