WE ARE HIRING A CHEF FOR VERSATILE DUTIES, PERMANENT, FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT We are seeking a chef who takes pride in their professional skills for a private family business, Hotel Gustavelund. Our hotel is located on the shores of Lake Tuusulanjärvi in beautiful park scenery, about 15 minutes from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and a half-hour drive from Helsinki city center. Our clientele consists of groups gathering for meetings, trainings, and various corporate events, for whom we prepare meeting catering, group dinners, and buffet meals. We provide high-quality and diverse rotating products: hotel breakfast and lunch are available daily, and in the evenings, we serve A la Carte in addition to banquets. On weekends, we serve brunches and are also a popular venue for family celebrations. In our summer kitchen on the terrace, we prepare grilled food for groups as well as salads, pizzas, and hamburgers for walk-in customers. Our hotel hosts festival-type events, such as sports car meets, Midsummer celebrations, band nights, and disco nights for seniors. We want to offer our guests as much homemade food as possible, baking and preparing dishes from fresh ingredients. Our working language is Finnish. Due to seasonal variations, we hope for flexibility: we use the MaRaTes balancing system. We primarily work in two shifts, weekdays from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and weekends starting at 7:00 AM and ending according to the event. The work includes evening and weekend shifts. Pay is based on MaRaTes plus standard evening, Sunday, etc. supplements; salary is also negotiable based on the amount and quality of experience. We value customer service skills, responsibility, hospitality, and an enthusiastic and inspiring attitude. Good interaction skills and vocational training are prerequisites for success in the job. We require applicants to have previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen and a hygiene passport.
