Factory Manager for the Seinäjoki feed plant Do you have experience managing production? Are you interested in a responsible and varied role in domestic food production? We are now looking for a development-minded Factory Manager for a permanent position at our Seinäjoki feed plant. If you have experience in production management, work naturally under pressure and make decisions with determination, you may be the person we are looking for. What does the Factory Manager’s role involve? Our Seinäjoki feed plant produces high-quality feed for cattle, pigs and reindeer. As Factory Manager, you are responsible for the plant’s operations and development and for ensuring that production and deliveries to customers are handled appropriately. Your role is responsible and varied. Your duties include planning the plant’s production, coordinating and developing maintenance, planning and carrying out investments, monitoring costs, and handling product quality and cooperation with authorities. You act as supervisor for the plant’s team of approximately 25 people, and your responsibilities also include the plant’s occupational safety. Although the role also includes administrative duties, it is not carried out solely at a desk. As Factory Manager, you are closely involved in production and resolve issues as they arise together with production staff and internal stakeholders. The work is mainly daytime work on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00. As the plant operates around the clock, we nevertheless expect you to be reachable when needed outside working hours. When you start, you will receive comprehensive orientation to help you settle into your new role. What do we hope for from you? We expect you to have at least most of the following: - Previous experience managing production in the process industry. Experience in the feed or food industry is an advantage but not essential. - A successful track record in a supervisory role. - Suitable technical education, for example in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering, or food technology. - Resilience under pressure and readiness to make decisions independently. - Excellent collaboration skills and a solution-oriented, flexible attitude. - Insight into and enthusiasm for production development. Familiarity with automation systems or the Dynamics AX ERP system will help you get up to speed, but is not essential. What do we offer you?
