A fixed-term official position for an HOURLY TEACHER is available at Lintulammen School for the academic year 2026 - 2027. The subjects taught are those taught by a class teacher. Handicrafts, environmental studies, visual arts, and the Sami language are taught in North Sami. There are 16 hours of North Sami language lessons per week, and eight hours are served as a resource teacher in Finnish-language education. The position includes the preparation of North Sami language learning materials. Lintulammen School is a primary school with 280 students, where weighted North Sami education is implemented as a pilot project. Eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff (986/1998). Original degree certificates proving eligibility must be presented during a possible interview. In addition, fluent proficiency in the North Sami language is required. Experience as a class teacher or subject teacher is considered an advantage. Remuneration is determined according to the municipal collective agreement for the education sector (OVTES). Before the selection is confirmed, and no later than 30 days after notification of the selection decision, the selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 3 of the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
