Food Service Worker

We are looking for a food service worker for the kitchen at Kutomo Day Care Centre to join a professional and supportive team. As a food service worker, you will be part of the multi-service unit of Palvelukeskus Helsinki, which provides food and cleaning services in various city facilities. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment in a day care kitchen, bringing joy and energy to the young clients through food. Kutomo Day Care Centre has approximately 140 children. The kitchen is a reheating kitchen. The facility has two floors, both with dining halls featuring serving lines, as well as several food carts for the groups. In the kitchen, you will work alongside the Food Service Supervisor, with whom you will collaborate closely. Additionally, there are 2 service workers in cleaning services. In this role, you will participate in the daily operations of the kitchen. Dishwashing tasks as well as the preparation of salads and side dishes. If necessary, you will also help in neighboring facilities. In this job, you will encounter many customers daily, so we expect you to meet them professionally and with a friendly smile. What do we expect from you? • Suitable education or equivalent work experience. • You have completed a hygiene passport. • You are independent and thorough. • You can manage in Finnish in work situations.
