We are seeking a nurse for Teeritien service home in Lieksa for a fixed-term contract (6 months). The role combines nursing care, guidance, and closer assistance to residents. Teeritien houses 18 adults who need everyday support and care; residents include people with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum conditions, with individual needs. The nurse is part of a team that enables each resident to live a life tailored to their wishes and needs, supporting health, well-being, and daily routines. Responsibilities include medication management and ensuring safe administration, minor nursing procedures, monitoring residents’ well-being and promoting health, collaboration with relatives and professionals, planning and carrying out daily activities with residents (e.g., mobility, baking, trips), and assisting with daily tasks such as housekeeping, shopping, and outdoor activities. Requirements include a nursing degree and Valvira registration, valid medication licenses, valid social and health professional card, immunization protection under infectious diseases act, hygiene passport and health clearance for food handling, ability to treat everyone with respect, good teamwork, and enthusiasm for disability services. Beneficial: communication skills and knowledge of developmental disability field.
