Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is seeking a Lecturer and Degree Programme Manager for the Occupational Therapy UAS degree programme on a fixed-term basis from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028. The role is split between the duties of a Degree Programme Manager (approx. 25% of working time) and a Lecturer within the Wellbeing competence area (approx. 75% of working time). As the Degree Programme Manager, you are responsible for the pedagogical leadership and development of the programme, administrative processes, and participating in the planning of the competence area's operations, personnel, and budget. You will develop the curriculum and handle programme communication, working closely with internal stakeholders, industry networks, and national and international higher education institutions. As a Lecturer, you will teach in the social and health care sector, primarily within the Occupational Therapy programme and the Wellbeing competence area. You will also participate in other core functions of the university, such as RDI and business operations, as agreed. Teaching in English is required. Requirements include a suitable Master's degree and at least three years of work experience in occupational therapy. Pedagogical studies for vocational teachers, higher education teaching experience, and fluency in Finnish and English are considered assets. The ideal candidate possesses strong pedagogical skills (including online implementation and AI utilization), the ability to motivate and lead, and excellent communication and networking skills.
