HUS is seeking a Sterilization Technician for a permanent position in Helsinki's instrument maintenance, covering the Kalasatama, Malmi, and Myllypuro sites. The role begins on October 1, 2026, initially based in Kalasatama, though the location may change based on need. The work involves maintaining instruments for oral health care, primary health care, health centers, and laboratories. Key responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and packaging medical instruments and devices used in patient examinations and treatments. Ensuring asepsis and patient safety is the primary objective. The work is shift-based, operating Monday to Sunday. Current shifts are Monday-Friday between 07:00-21:00 and weekends between 07:00-19:00. Specifically in Kalasatama, hours are Mon-Fri 07:00-20:30 and Sat 09:21-18:15. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a degree in instrument maintenance. Satisfactory oral proficiency in Finnish is required. Candidates must have vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis.
