The team is expanding and invites applications for a full-time Area Supervisor for the Helsinki metropolitan area. The role is based mainly in units within mental health and substance abuse services and is a full-time, monthly-salaried position. Shifts run mainly during weekdays and evenings. The Area Supervisor works across service units with defined weekly scheduling, serving clients in mental health and substance abuse services, moving across the Helsinki area as needed. You will work as part of the unit’s team, recognizing each client’s individual needs and ensuring quality care, while upholding patient autonomy and respectful treatment. You will guide and support clients in their daily lives, administer medication, document carefully, and promote holistic well-being with a present, warm approach. The role includes a diverse range of tasks, and you will help create a meaningful and safe everyday life for clients. Requirements include: completion of the practical nurse qualification and registration with the Finnish authorities (Suosikki registry), Social and Health Care professional card (Kanta authentication card) or willingness to obtain during probation, ability to demonstrate medication administration competence by completing a medication competency test within four months of starting employment and during employment, basic Finnish language skills for documentation and client interaction, and vaccination protection under the infectious diseases act 48 §. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. A criminal background check will be conducted before employment as required by law. Work environment and culture include a multidisciplinary team that includes practical nurses, registered nurses, and other unit leaders; the supervisor will communicate with the head of the temporary unit via Teams, phone and email, with occasional remote management.
