About the role

Hoivatie's Ensikoti SilmuVerso is looking for a healthcare (AMK) professional as an infant family work instructor. Come do meaningful work with infant families. Hoivatie's shelter units in Helsinki's Vallila provide 24-hour support for infant and toddler families who need intensive help in stabilizing everyday life and adapting to a new life situation. We believe that every baby and parent has the right to a safe start – regardless of the life situation. Families may have various challenges in the background: mental health problems, cognitive challenges, experiences of violence, loneliness, exhaustion or traumatic experiences. We meet each family respectfully and look for solutions together that support the well-being and future of the whole family. SilmuVerso has a total of 14 family places in two communities. The focus of rehabilitation is support for early interaction. The goal is to ensure the growth and development of the baby, and to strengthen the attachment between the parent and the baby. Families are supported in community rehabilitation in the management of the infant family's everyday life and in growing into parenthood. Infant and toddler-oriented rehabilitation is based on the special expertise of a multidisciplinary work group, which includes a supervisor of infant family work and infant family work instructors who have completed a social and health care AMK degree. The work group has strong expertise in, among other things, trauma work, supporting early interaction, community rehabilitation and mental health work. The work of an infant family work instructor includes working in a therapeutic rehabilitation community. As an infant family work instructor, you will participate in the change work of parents and in supporting the relationship between the baby and the parent. As the family's named employee, you are partly responsible for working according to the family's rehabilitation process in line with the set goals and for network work. Several families also need strong support in handling official matters, matters related to immigration and everyday matters. The eligibility requirement for the position is a Bachelor of Health Care degree. We consider as an advantage experience in working with infant families, expertise in early interaction and mental health work and work experience in similar positions for at least 2 years. The work is two-shift work. The position is valid until further notice. Remuneration is determined according to the collective agreement of the private social services sector.
