Adjunct Professor/Researcher on the Resource Nexus - UNU - Remote - Global

The United Nations University (UNU) is an international community of scholars engaged in policy-oriented research, capacity development and dissemination of knowledge in furthering the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations. UNU contributes through research and capacity building to global efforts on pressing issues such as sustainable development, conflict prevention, and human welfare. UNU-FLORES in Dresden focuses on the sustainable management of environmental resources like water, soil, waste, and energy, especially in developing economies. The institute seeks highly motivated academics and experts for short-term assignments on the Resource Nexus, supporting research, policy advice, capacity development, and outreach activities. Candidates will contribute to research, publications, policy analysis, and institutional activities, with opportunities for joint research and impact. The role requires a PhD in environmental resources management, at least five years of research experience, and proficiency in English. The appointment is unpaid, with opportunities for collaboration, resource access, and potential remuneration for specific deliverables. The appointment duration is initially up to 12 months, with possible extension.
