Class Teacher

Uomarinne School in Vantaa is seeking a class teacher for Swedish language immersion education. Job description: Uomarinne primary school in Myyrmäki, Vantaa is a learning community of nearly 700 students and 100 adults. Our school is a diverse learning center that, in addition to basic education, has Swedish language immersion, special and preparatory education. The reconstruction of our school has enabled teaching and learning according to the new curriculum in modern facilities. We are developing our operational culture and different forms of co-teaching. Requirements: Eligibility requirement: Eligibility in accordance with the Decree on the eligibility requirements for teaching staff 986/1998. Sufficient language skills in accordance with the National Board of Education's regulation on the language proficiency required from a teacher in pre-primary and basic education provided in a language other than the school's language of instruction (25/011/2005). In addition to the eligibility requirement, we require: Experience in language immersion education, good interaction skills, and the ability to act as an active member of a grade-level team. Terms of employment are determined by the Municipal Teaching Staff's Official and Collective Agreement (OVTES).
