Program Manager

The role: Leadership with overall responsibility for project delivery and implementation. As Program Manager for the Finland and Baltic service team you will be a key member of management in the Defence Services Nordic organisation, which is responsible for executing projects in Scandinavia and the Baltics. In addition, you will be responsible for people management within the Finnish delivery team. Your primary tasks will be: overseeing multiple projects involving the deployment of SitaWare and Iris product suites; ensuring delivery within the agreed scope, schedule and quality while maintaining and developing long-term customer relationships; driving business development, including creating and scoping solutions, estimation and proposal writing; leading and developing a team of project managers, architects, test managers and engineers in Finland; managing recruitment, retention and professional development within the delivery team; supporting the expansion of Systematic’s presence in both emerging and established markets. The team: You will be part of the Defence Services Nordic organisation, and will report to the Head of Nordic who has overall responsibility for our activities in the Nordic region. The team delivers services such as training, technical support for military exercises, guidance on optimum product use, quality assurance and the development of integration and extension modules. We are looking for a colleague who: has significant project management experience and a proven track record of successfully managing and overseeing complex delivery projects of COTS software products; brings experience from customer-facing roles and can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, ideally in a global context; demonstrates strong leadership skills, including people management, coaching and team development; is known for prioritising results and showing clear, decisive leadership; has experience of working in a medium to large company with mature software/IT development practices; holds an IT-related degree at bachelor’s or master’s level; communicates fluently in both Finnish and English, written and spoken. You will likely also bring: experience from working in a global business environment; a strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships; skills at fostering collaboration and driving organisational growth; a genuine passion for technology; a toolbox including one or more of following certifications: PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level B/C; You should expect approx. 20–30 days of travel a year, domestic as well as international.
