Health Center Physician

We are looking for a health center physician for a substitute position at Kalvola Health Center for the period 14.9.2026-15.2.2027! Kalvola Health Center is a small health center with two physicians, where the care of the population is managed by a permanent and experienced medical staff. Now there is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the versatile work of a small health center during a six-month leave of absence substitute position, located very close to Hämeenlinna and Tampere. The work involves caring for the population together with an experienced colleague. The work includes non-urgent and urgent scheduled appointments, remote contacts, and the duties of a physician for the enhanced service housing located upstairs. The work is performed during office hours, and there is no on-call duty. We offer regular training for physicians, and it is also possible to perform YEK (Basic Medical Care) services. The work is supported by functional services and a multidisciplinary network. FimLab laboratory services are available in Kalvola once a week, and in other locations, the laboratory serves every weekday. A physiotherapist also works at the health center part of the week, and skilled nurses are also available to assist you. The patient information system is LifeCare. Consultation support is provided by, among others, a psychiatrist, gynecologist, addiction physician, pediatric neurologist, geriatrician, and pediatrician. Procedures and examinations are carried out at the new Assi Hospital, where the inpatient wards are also located. It is possible to complete specialization in general medicine in Kalvola, and individual guidance is organized for YEK and specialization phase physicians. Weekly site trainings are held regularly, and participation in external training has also been successful. The eligibility requirement is a valid medical license in Finland. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay an experience-based supplement, which can be 3% or 8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also determined based on length of service.
