Casual Cook

We are looking for a hardworking casual cook/kitchen assistant to join Attendo Järvenhelmi’s kitchen in Pyhäjärvi. The kitchen prepares meals for around 100 residents daily. The role is on an as-needed (call-in) contract and is ongoing. Work is on weekday mornings from 6:00 to 15:00, with flexible start date. You will receive thorough onboarding. Responsibilities include preparing meals according to the menu and recipes, packing ready meals for distribution, potentially transporting meals with the kitchen’s own car to other Attendo homes, dishwashing, waste management, unloading goods, stock control, preventing food waste, recording self-monitoring notes and responding to deviations, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and cooperating with care staff. Requirements include experience in the sector or relevant education (experience in large-scale catering favored but not required), Hygiene passport, B-class driving license (manual car), vaccination protection per infectious disease law for the duration of employment, and fluent Finnish language skills at least B2 level. Employment follows the private social services sector collective agreement; monthly salary range for the role starting 1 Sept 2026 is 2,278.80–2,510.83 EUR. We are a smoke-free workplace.
