The Chamber of Commerce of Lapland is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the influential network of Northern Finland's business community and strengthen Lapland's position in national and international decision-making. The CEO is responsible for implementing the strategy and promoting the interests of member companies both locally and nationally. In this central role, you will strengthen Lapland's position as a strategically significant investment and growth platform in Europe. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of business structures and a proven track record in stakeholder cooperation, societal interaction, and effective lobbying. You have built productive relationships with political decision-makers, authorities, business actors, and other key influencers. You possess the ability to create and develop new long-term partnerships. You will lead a professional organization with an inspiring approach, sharing responsibility and strengthening cooperation. Strong communication skills and relationships with the media are required, as is an understanding of social media's role in influential communication. Given the international nature of Lapland's business community, particularly Nordic cooperation, fluency in Finnish and English is essential for operating in international networks. Key responsibilities include preparing and implementing long-term influence goals and strategy, daily operational management and development of the organization, strengthening member network engagement and value, and conducting business advocacy work locally and nationally.
