Production Manager for the Kantvik vegetable oil press We are looking for a production manager for our vegetable oil press located in Kantvik, Kirkkonummi, to be responsible for the management, development, and efficiency of production. Apetit is a Finnish food company that makes plant-based eating a delicious part of everyday life. Our operations are based on close cooperation with primary producers in our home markets in Finland and Sweden. Apetit creates well-being from vegetables by developing delicious plant-based food solutions and oilseed products that save the day in all kinds of kitchens. Apetit Plc's share is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. At the Kantvik vegetable oil press, we refine high-quality Apetit vegetable oils, Öpex feed press cake, and the new food product BlackGrain rapeseed seed flour from rapeseed seeds. The core of production is the mechanical pressing and physical refining of seeds. We are Finland's largest processor and packer of food oils. A total of about 60 Apetit employees work in the oilseed business. Your Task As Production Manager, you are responsible for the oil and press cake manufacturing processes, their continuous development, and the quality of the products. In this position, you lead the operational entity in close cooperation with the rest of the organization, such as maintenance, quality control, and commercial functions. Your key areas of responsibility are: - overall production safety including personnel occupational safety - supply chain management: raw material requirements, production planning, capacities, product inventories, and deliveries - promoting the cost-efficiency, environmental friendliness, and implementation of new technologies in processes - participating in the planning of factory investments and maintenance together with various stakeholders - ensuring the customer quality, product safety, and regulatory compliance of the products for sale - handling the resourcing of the production organization and employment matters in cooperation with the group's HR functions - participating in necessary research and development projects Our press is located in Kirkkonummi in the immediate vicinity of the metropolitan area. Work is performed on site. What we expect from you You will succeed in the position if you have experience in the result-oriented management of production from a food, feed, chemical, or other process industry environment. We value strong safety- and quality-oriented thinking, the ability to lead people, and curiosity for continuous development. We require a suitable technical education for the position, such as a Master's or Bachelor's degree in process or chemical engineering / food sciences or other similar education in the field. Previous work experience from a relevant field is a prerequisite for success in the job. The position requires a planned and goal-oriented approach to work, good cooperation and interaction skills, and the ability to operate at both an operational and strategic level. We consider previous strong evidence of developing production processes, investments, or personnel projects as an advantage. You naturally have good IT skills and communicate clearly in at least Finnish and English.
