Ravintola Tiflisi is seeking an experienced and multilingual server for an ongoing employment relationship. We are a Georgian restaurant in central Helsinki, at Malminrinne 2. We offer our customers flavours of Georgian cuisine and hospitable service. Your duties include welcoming customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, operating the till, and taking care of the cleanliness of the restaurant dining room and smooth service. You introduce customers to the dishes on the menu and help them with their choices. The role also includes, when necessary, acting as the person designated by the employer to be responsible for serving alcohol. A permit-holder representative supplement in accordance with the MaRa collective agreement is paid for responsibility shifts. We expect you to have: - At least two years of work experience as a server in an à la carte restaurant - Fluent Finnish and English - A hygiene passport and an alcohol serving passport - The ability to work independently and in cooperation with other staff - A careful approach to work and the ability to provide smooth customer service even when busy - A valid right to work Other language skills are considered an advantage. We will familiarise you with our restaurant’s food and drink selection. Employment terms The employment relationship is ongoing and part-time. Working time is at least 90 hours over three weeks. Shifts vary according to the restaurant’s opening hours and include evening and weekend work. Pay is determined in accordance with the collective agreement for employees in tourism, restaurant and leisure services, taking into account the pay group for the position and relevant work experience. Collective-agreement supplements are also paid. Work will begin around the middle of November, once the restaurant renovation is complete. The exact start date will be agreed separately.
