Practical Nurse

We are currently seeking a full-time practical nurse for Rinnekodit Hia in Helsinki (Kallio). The unit has 19 residents and provides enhanced round-the-clock care under the Apartment First principle. Responsibilities include basic nursing, medication administration and rehabilitative care, supporting daily activities, assisting with health services and personal needs, and creating meaningful daily activities for clients. We offer thorough orientation and various trainings to ensure smooth work. We require a practical nurse qualification, license to practice from the National Authority for Medicolegal Affairs (Suosikki registry) or willingness to obtain, social and health care professional card (Kanta certificate) or readiness to obtain during the probation period, ability to demonstrate medication administration competence within four months, willingness to work three shifts, basic Finnish language skills for documentation and interaction with clients, infectious disease protection under the communicable diseases act, good interpersonal and situational awareness skills, a positive attitude and experience in mental health and substance abuse work, and a desire to learn and develop with us. Rinnekodit is non-smoking and substance-free. A criminal background check is performed as required by law before employment. The team includes practical nurses, a head nurse, a supervisor (sociologist) and a unit manager.
