Job Description
Lapland Staff is seeking a versatile Front Desk Customer Service / Safari Guide for the Luosto location for the winter season 2026–2027. In this role, you will work in customer service, selling safaris, equipment rentals, and performing practical tasks as a safari guide. The position suits a versatile professional who enjoys interacting with people and varied workdays — both indoors and outdoors. As a Front Desk Customer Service representative, you will mainly work at the safari lodge reception, serving customers face-to-face, by phone, and email. The role emphasizes face-to-face customer service; you will help clients choose suitable services, sell safaris and other experiences. You will handle reservations in multiple systems and oversee equipment rentals and daily operations of the Safari Shop. The job also includes cash register work and assisting customers at safari departures. Safari guiding tasks include preparing and executing safari programs, as well as cleaning and maintenance duties. You may guide activities such as snowshoe safaris on the fell, visits to reindeer farms and husky kennels, and snowmobiling trips to see the Northern Lights. A significant part of guiding involves leading various bus tours. A B-class driver’s license is essential for guiding. Knowledge of the area and experience driving a 9-seat vehicle in snowy conditions are considered advantages. The work is varied and fast-paced, with a single day potentially involving multiple tasks. Changes to the workday are possible with short notice, and work may occasionally be in the evenings, in two shifts. Lapland Safaris provides paid onboarding for new employees at the start of employment. The employment is fixed-term according to the service industry collective agreement. The work begins in November 2026 and is expected to last until the end of March 2027. Salary starts at a minimum of 12.50 €/hour according to the collective agreement for the service industry, in the difficulty group B-C. You should be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays. Accommodation is arranged in shared rooms at a reasonable rent compared to local prices. Please note that Lapland Safaris is a non-smoking workplace.
