About the role

We are looking for a teacher of Swedish and English for grades 6-9 to join our competent subject group. There are 21 teaching hours per week. Mainingi School is a multicultural and diverse comprehensive school with an emphasis on music and dance. Approximately 630 students in grades 1-9 study at our school, and 75 teachers and school assistants work here. The school has a music emphasis in grades 3-9 and a dance emphasis in grades 7-9. Our school also has various small groups for learning support and preparatory education. Mainingi School is located in the coastal area of Kivenlahti, Espoo, with good transport connections. Salary: According to OVTES, basic salaries according to the pricing identifier https://www.kt.fi/sopimukset/ovtes/palkat-palkkiot Eligibility requirement: Qualification as a comprehensive school teacher of Swedish and English. Teacher qualifications are determined in accordance with Decree No. 986/98 on the qualification requirements for teaching staff. According to Section 9 of the Decree, a teacher providing basic education must have excellent oral and written skills in Finnish. For fixed-term positions, we also consider applicants who do not meet the formal eligibility requirements. Requirements for the position: The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act.
