About the role

Join Villa Kukkumäki to do meaningful work where there is bustle and activity, but above all care and strong professional skill. We are looking for a new practitioner to work with children and youths who require special support. Villa Kukkumäki is a child protection unit where we do intensive and long-term work with trauma-exposed, emotionally challenging children and youths. The unit houses children aged 7–17 who often have developmental delays, neuropsychiatric features, and behavioral challenges typical of conduct disorders. Our daily life is lively and full of moments and emotion, and that is exactly what makes it meaningful. Our daily work rests on clear boundaries, togetherness, and a predictable environment where every child has the opportunity to grow and develop individually. Our aim is to enable a healing everyday life for children and youths, so that each child can feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are. We expect you to: - be ready to meet challenging behavior in children in a sensitive yet firm way. - have genuine interest in working with children in difficult life situations. - have good communication skills, flexibility, and ability to handle pressure. - be committed to building reparative relationships and long-term work. We require: - a suitable social and health care degree (e.g., social services student or nurse). - experience in child protection and working with children who require special support. - interest or expertise in trauma work, attachment disorders, and behavioral challenges. An advantage is if you have: - experience in neuropsychiatric rehabilitation or trauma expertise. - a creative touch – perhaps you play guitar, like animals, craft, or enjoy forest walks. If you want to join a workplace where bustle and activity can be a resource – and where everyone has the chance to be themselves – send your application to us!
