School Attendance Supervisor, Luolavuoren School - Turun kaupunki - Turku, Finland

We are hiring a total of six school attendance supervisors, primarily at the Luolavuori School units on Ruiskatu and Piiparinpolku. The position is temporary, from August 7, 2026, to June 5, 2027. As a school attendance supervisor, you are an essential part of our school's diverse learning support. We expect good teamwork skills, an active and independent work approach. Support in city-level special classes is provided to students with a wide range of support needs. These needs may manifest as learning difficulties due to developmental delays or disabilities, social and communication restrictions caused by autism spectrum disorders, or various degrees of developmental disabilities. All students in Luolavuori School's special classes require significant adult support during the school day. Therefore, each class has a special class teacher plus 1-5 school attendance supervisors, depending on the support needs of the students. Your tasks will involve teaching students with demanding support needs in city-level special classes. Luolavuori School has approximately 470 students, including those in grades 1-6 in the local area and city-level special classes for grades 1-9. The school operates in three units: Ruiskatu 8, Piiparinpolku 3, and Raadinkatu 7. About 160 education and care professionals work at Luolavuori School. Due to the support needs of students, the guiding staff is large. Therefore, we require all employees to have strong teamwork and good collaboration and interaction skills. The qualification requirement is a suitable vocational qualification or previous school-level vocational qualification in the field, or a professional or special professional qualification. Applicants must submit a criminal record extract as specified in section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (504/2002).
