Chief Physician

Chief Physician of Neurology, neurology service unit, Seinäjoki Central Hospital. The neurology service unit consists of the neurology outpatient clinic, the neurology ward, and the respiratory paralysis unit. The unit has 9 specialist physician positions and two specialist trainee positions. All positions are currently filled. The job description of the Chief Physician of Neurology includes clinical work and participation in informal on-call duties in addition to administration. The Chief Physician is responsible for organizing and developing the unit's operations. The eligibility criteria for the position are the legalization and permit to act in physician duties as stipulated in the Act on Health Care Professionals 559/1994, as well as the qualifications of a specialist in neurology. We also require sufficient experience in tasks requiring the competence of a specialist in neurology. In addition to clinical expertise, previous management experience is considered an advantage in filling the position. We value good cooperation and interaction skills as well as a positive attitude toward development. We require good oral and written skills in the Finnish language. The terms of employment and remuneration are determined in accordance with the physicians' official and collective agreement and the career-step pay system of the Southern Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county. The position-specific salary at the start of employment is 8871.94 e/month. A probationary period applies to the appointment. The selected candidate may be required to provide the result of a drug test. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a report on respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55.
