AI Designer positions at CGI’s Innovation Center of Excellence involve joining a design team to develop AI-enabled services, interfaces and operating models in collaboration with clients and CGI experts. The roles require curiosity, practicality and a mindset to explore how AI can deliver real value to users and businesses. Responsibilities include UX design, service design, user research, concepting and customer-centered development, with the ability to translate insights into concrete concepts, prototypes and development directions. Senior AI Designer adds leadership, mentorship and a stronger track record in AI-related design and development projects, helping clients identify and realize AI opportunities, and acting as an internal role model within CGI’s design community. The team consists of around 20 seasoned design professionals, and the role is located in Helsinki with a hybrid work model. We value broad experience across design tasks and a capability to apply design skills in various client environments. Required skills include strong design thinking tied to business understanding, UX design, service design, user research, concepting or other customer-centric development methods, experience with AI or data-driven design projects, ability to articulate AI benefits for client organizations, willingness to experiment and share expertise with colleagues and clients, and excellent communication in Finnish and English. Senior level requires broader experience in UX/service/business design, experience designing AI-enabled solutions in demanding client environments, ability to lead design work, facilitate decision-making and drive opportunities to concrete solutions, a strong view on AI’s impact on customer experience, service development, business and ways of working, and readiness to act as an internal product/mentoring figure.
