You may also work as a freelancer or light-entrepreneur. The Finnish shipbuilding industry is currently active and we are involved in many interesting projects. We expect experience in basic ship interior design or production planning, excellent CAD (AutoCAD), knowledge of standard solutions, familiarity with SOLAS and other regulations, experience working with classification societies, plus Lisp programming and related automation software are a plus, and RevIt proficiency is a plus. General requirements include strong design experience in shipbuilding, broad knowledge of ships and their systems, a proactive and systematic approach to problem solving, flexibility, teamwork and customer orientation, good computer skills and willingness to learn new software, suitable education (e.g. cabinet maker, mechanical designer, architectural studies, etc.), and ability to communicate fluently in Finnish and English both spoken and written.
