About the role

Our guiding stars are the appreciation and success of students and employees, diverse working life, and an equal society. We are looking for a School Attendance and Housing Instructor in Pieksämäki! This is an opportunity to support the daily lives, growth, and independence of special needs youth. Work starts as soon as possible or by September 1, 2026. What is the job about? You are involved in the student's day from start to finish—supporting, guiding, and walking alongside them. You will work closely with the team, teaching, and networks. Your task is to guide, support, and assist students in learning during the school day, during free time in the student dormitory, and in practicing independence skills such as dining, hygiene, use of assistive devices, communication, and mobility. The work is shift work (3-shift rhythm). Who is this job for? We are looking for someone with: - A proactive and positive approach to work - Good interaction skills and the ability to meet young people authentically - A desire to support another's growth and autonomy - Experience working with those needing special support - Suitable education: Social and health care or education and guidance education Success in this role requires presence, listening, and working with heart. An encouraging and rehabilitative approach is needed to support autonomy and identify strengths. Building a safe relationship of trust is essential. We also value experience in organizing free-time activities that support students' ability to work and an understanding of vocational secondary education. We follow the collective agreement for the private education sector. The salary range is approximately €2368-2710 / month, depending on relevant previous experience.
