Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the multi-disciplinary team at the school home. In this role you will play an important part in ensuring smooth daily operations and well-being together with the housekeeper and other staff. Your duties include assisting with meal preparation, receiving and storing ingredients and other supplies, baking, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and practical tasks related to self-monitoring and food safety. You may also participate in other tasks that support food services and the school home’s daily activities. The role emphasizes cooperation, flexibility, and the ability to provide high-quality, safe food services as part of the children’s and youths’ environment. Due to legislative changes, the agency name will change to Valtion lastensuojelulaitos on 1 Oct 2026, and the accompanying school will be included under this new name (526/2026), replacing the current law governing THL-operated foster care units (1379/2010).
