The digital infrastructure, energy and industrial construction business implements demanding industrial projects, power plants and data centers. With us, you will be part of building a new, strategically important business area. We are looking for an Area Manager for digital infrastructure, energy and industrial construction businesses. As an Area Manager, you are responsible for the success of a certain part of the project's work in terms of schedule, costs, quality and resources. You lead the operational activities of the site managers in your area of responsibility, ensure a clear division of responsibility and ensure smooth and safe work on the site. In the position, you will work closely with the site manager, the responsible site manager, site managers, employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders. You also participate in the subcontract negotiations of your area of responsibility and the definition of the subcontract content already in the request for proposal phase. As an Area Manager, you can work, for example, with foundations, frames, facades and roofs or interior work phases and lead your own staff team to achieve the set goals. Why YIT? You have previous experience in the duties of a site area manager as well as expertise in project management, cost management and contract matters. You have good supervisory and interaction skills and the ability to lead people in a goal-oriented and committing way in changing situations. Premises/industrial construction and site practices are familiar to you. You use various IT systems fluently and communicate fluently in Finnish and English. You will succeed in this role if you have strong project expertise and a customer-oriented way of operating. You have a systematic and analytical approach to achieving common goals as well as good interaction and negotiation skills, and you operate effectively under pressure. We value expertise in FIDIC contract terms, but we also offer comprehensive training in the management of different contract types. The projects are located around Finland, so the position requires willingness to travel. Previous experience from large projects is considered an advantage.
