Come and help design and implement the world's most advanced cruise ships and leave your mark on shipbuilding history! Meyer Turku offers you an encouraging workplace where you can develop and pursue your own unique career. Job Description: We are looking for a Manager to be responsible for the operational management of our company's external supply chain and the management of material flow outside the shipyard area. In the role, you ensure that deliveries to end customers and installation sites are carried out smoothly, safely and as planned – with the right quality and on time. You lead the daily operations of external logistics covering export packaging, loading operations at the shipyard and freight management. You ensure that material flows proceed efficiently and in a controlled manner throughout the supply chain, and that the documentation related to deliveries is correct and up to date. The role emphasizes practical management and the continuous development of operations. You develop processes especially for export packaging, freight management and warranty phase logistics with the aim of improving delivery reliability, shortening lead times and ensuring high quality and transport safety. In addition, you lead and plan the use of resources in your area of responsibility (personnel and packaging materials) and are responsible for the operational selection and management of logistics service providers (3PL/4PL) within agreed frameworks. You work in close cooperation with the external production of ship projects, the warranty function and the partner network. You work in a matrix organization and ensure smooth cooperation across organizational boundaries. The role requires the ability to manage wholes and prioritize effectively in a changing project operating environment. As part of the task, you lead your own team in a goal-oriented manner and participate in the operational guidance of the partner network. In addition, you are involved in developing the operating models of the external supply chain and promoting a data-driven way of operating. What we expect from you: Strong experience in the operational management of logistics, material management or the supply chain. Evidence of successful supervisory work and organizational development. Ability to lead operations in a data-driven manner and develop processes systematically. Experience working with 3PL/4PL operators. Understanding of international logistics, freight processes and delivery documentation. Understanding of project activities and the ability to operate in a matrix organization. Excellent interaction and cooperation skills in a wide stakeholder field. Ability to combine operational management and strategic development. A suitable university degree. In addition, we require the applicant to have excellent oral and written English language skills. Please note that we require the selected person to have a passed drug test and suitability for the duties of the employment relationship established in a health check. Why come work for us? You get to work at the top of shipbuilding. The world's most advanced cruise ships are designed and built at the Meyer Turku shipyard. We are known for our high-tech expertise, multidisciplinary production and innovative solutions that move the entire shipbuilding industry forward. Our order book extends far into the future.
