Design Engineer

We are looking for several designers to work on interesting client projects with Patria in the defense industry, which plays a central role in building a secure society. In this role, you will do versatile and challenging design work as part of a skilled and supportive team. You will receive training on necessary tools, support from colleagues, and opportunities to develop your skills through practical work. Your main responsibilities include mechanical design in demanding and multidisciplinary client projects, 3D modeling, creating production drawings, and producing technical documentation. You will develop technical solutions independently, together with the design team and Patria experts, and manage the progress of your work and your own entities. As your experience grows, you will take responsibility for larger design entities and guide and coordinate the design work. You should have at least a few years of experience in mechanical design in industry, strong experience with 3D design software and 2D drawing creation, familiarity with PDM systems, the ability to manage your own entities and push projects forward independently, and fluent Finnish language skills, with English skills considered an advantage. We also value experience with NX and/or Teamcenter, design experience with vehicles or mobile machinery, and experience in demanding or regulated environments such as defense or authorities. Initially, work will be full-time at the customer’s premises in Hämeenlinna or at Etteplan’s Hämeenlinna office. Once established, there is an option to transition to a hybrid model. Security clearance and drug testing will be conducted for selected candidates. The salary range is approximately 3500-4200€/month.
