About the role

The Project Management Analyst will provide technical, coordination, and operational support to ensure effective development, implementation, and delivery of projects within the NCE portfolio. The Project Management Analyst will support project development, implementation, technical advisory, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination across projects of the NCE portfolio. Duties and Responsibilities: - Substantively contribute to the formulation and implementation of UNDP programme strategies and policies: analysis of political, social, and economic situation; inputs to UNSDCF, CPD, and IWP; develop project proposals. - Effectively manage assigned projects under the NCE Portfolio: design and formulate projects; oversee implementation with partners; manage planning, budgeting, and monitoring; manage team members and relationships with donors and government; produce written outputs (briefings, reports, policy proposals). - Establish and maintain strategic CO partnerships and support resource mobilization: implement partnership strategies; develop networks with IFIs, government, private sector, and CSOs; identify funding opportunities. - Ensure provision of top-quality advisory services and facilitation of knowledge building: identify policy-driven issues; strengthen advocacy networks; contribute to knowledge networks and digital platforms. Required Skills and Experience: - Education: Advanced university degree (master's) in Science, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or related; or a bachelor's degree with an additional two years of qualifying experience. - Experience: Minimum 2 years (with master's) or 4 years (with bachelor's) of professional experience in climate change, environment, project management, or related field. Proficiency in MS Office and web-based management systems. - Desired skills: Experience in development projects (nature, climate, energy, financing, DRR); experience with GEF and GCF funding; partnership experience with high-ranking officials; experience in developing countries, specifically Cambodia; prior UN agency experience.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (master's) in Science, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity Conservation, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or related field (or bachelor's with 2 additional years of experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience (with master's) or 4 years (with bachelor's) in climate change, environment, project management, or related field
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and web-based management systems
