Koulutuskeskus JEDU is seeking an open-minded and energetic livestock caretaker for various tasks at a teaching farm in Haapajärvi, starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. You will work in modern facilities and with modern equipment, utilizing the latest robotic technology. The position is full-time. Working hours are 38 h 15 min per week, which includes on-call duty, evening, night, and Sunday work. Requirements: - Vocational qualification or university of applied sciences degree in agriculture - Proficiency in operating agricultural tractors and small loaders - Experience using DeLaval milking robots and feeding systems - Ability to participate in milking robot monitoring, including nighttime - Good animal care skills - Ability to perform weekend work according to the shift schedule - Skills in guiding agricultural students - Cooperation and interaction skills, and the ability to engage with different types of learners - Fluent written and spoken Finnish language skills - Driver's license and access to a private car if necessary Salary and terms of employment are determined by the municipal civil service and collective agreement. The position-specific salary is determined according to JEDU's level-based salary system and is 2452.95 €/month. Possible work experience bonuses are also paid. Before assuming the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 to verify the criminal background of those working with children and a satisfactory medical certificate of health (T-form). The probationary period is six months.
