Registered Nurse

Your role Kuivelakoti is a 15-place 24-hour service housing unit for the elderly, located in the center of Mynämäki, next to the new health center, in a peaceful rural setting. This small unit for residents with memory diseases offers you the opportunity to perform meaningful nursing work in a clear and calm environment - both independently and in cooperation with the supervisor. Residents are elderly people with memory diseases and multiple comorbidities, and you will be responsible for their holistic care process together with other staff. You will work in a team with practical nurses and care assistants. Additionally, an instructor and a physiotherapist work in the unit. You will be responsible for developing nursing practices, guiding the nursing work of practical nurses and care assistants, and managing the overall medication therapy. You will receive orientation for the position based on your expertise. The work is shift-based, with an emphasis on morning shifts. What we expect from you We expect you to master the clinical nursing required in elderly services and have the ability to organize and actively move things forward. We value the ability to consider the customer experience in all activities as well as the skill to guide other nursing staff. The position requires good oral and written Finnish language skills. A valid LOVe medication permit, knowledge of the RAI assessment system, and good IT skills are considered an advantage. The eligibility requirement for the position is a legal authorization as a registered nurse in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994).
