Welcome as a practical nurse to the Eating Disorder Unit in Töölö for the intensive day ward S2! The Eating Disorder Unit is a specialized care unit providing services primarily for the HUS region population. Care is aimed to be implemented as outpatient care. The eating disorder clinic's care is supported by a 24-hour ward S1, an intensive day ward S2, and an 8-place day ward S3. The unit treats young people over 13 years old with eating disorders as well as adults. The 6-place intensive day ward S2 of the Eating Disorder Unit provides rehabilitative and individuality-focused care. Patients aged 18 and over with anorexia nervosa are treated at the intensive day ward S2, and the goal of treatment is the correction of nutritional status and the alleviation of the most severe eating disorder symptoms. Treatment is implemented by a multidisciplinary care team. The job description includes guiding, supporting, and encouraging patients toward a regular, permissive, and diverse diet. Please note that the job description includes model eating with patients, where we eat the same food from the kitchen in the company of patients. The intensive day ward is open Mon and Fri 7:30–15:30 and Tue-Thu 7:30–18:00. Nursing staff work in two shifts: 7:30–15:30 and 10:00–18:00. Patients enter treatment during office hours via referral. The position-specific salary starts from €2935.15/month plus possible experience and other additions. The work is a two-shift system. The selected person must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). We require vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in client and patient spaces, and a health status statement regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare operational units.
