Employment Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative expert in corporate and employer services for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, to join our professional and encouraging work community. The specialist's task is to implement service processes in accordance with the Western Pirkanmaa employment area and municipality-specific operating models, together with the regional and municipal employment services staff. The specialist primarily meets clients face-to-face and utilizes other appropriate service channels as needed. The specialist's clients are Ikaalinen entrepreneurs and employers, as well as individual clients of the employment services. Corporate and employer service duties include assessing and responding to the service needs of companies and employers, as well as providing guidance for starting entrepreneurs. You will act as an active member of the city's economic development team and participate in the development of regional employment and economic services. The job seeker service process includes information and advisory services, assessment of service needs, preparation of an employment plan or a substitute plan, implementation of services, guidance to services, and monitoring the implementation of the employment or substitute plan. The job description also includes conducting statutory training of the labor authority together with other specialists. Electronic tools are extensively used in client work, and clients are guided to use the digital tools provided by the information society. The position includes official duties such as investigations and statements related to unemployment security and official decisions related to services. Building the service path requires knowledge of public employment services, the operating environment, and services, as well as mastery and ability to apply the laws, instructions, and regulations guiding the work. Ikaalinen City's employment and integration services consist of employment services, economic services, a start-up workshop, searching youth work, integration services, and service point services. The position will be filled starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. A six-month probationary period applies. The basic salary is €3,060.32 and the working hours are office hours.
