The position is at Vindängens day care and school, where you work with a dedicated staff to continuously develop the operations and pedagogy. All staff collaborate and support each other in planning, development and evaluation of the pedagogical activities. As a resource child care worker in early childhood education you participate in planning, implementing and evaluating care, upbringing and learning together with the kindergarten teacher and the rest of the team. We hope you are positive, enjoy change and learn new working methods easily. You are employed by Espoo City and will start at Vindängens day care in the Blåsippan group for the 2026-2027 academic year, in a group with two other educators and 14 children. You will be an additional resource in the group in need of an extra adult. Vindängens day care and school share a building with Vindängen school, enabling close cooperation with the school and access to school facilities. The building feels large but we have a calm, safe atmosphere in the unit, and being under the same roof is an advantage for everyone — children and adults. Vindängen day care and school are centrally located in Hagalund. We are adjacent to Folkhälsan, Arbis and Musikinstitutet with great access to culture and music opportunities. Our lunch comes from Folkhälsan’s kitchen. We are close to nature, with forest and sea nearby and we move a lot in our local area. The Hagalund library is a short walk away, as are the metro and buses; there is also parking if you drive. Our aim is that everyone, children and adults alike, feel respected, valued and welcome each day. We offer rich opportunities for collegial support and learning in an engaged work community where we support each other to develop professionally, including studies alongside work. Espoo City supports part-time studies toward a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and toward a Socionom degree in Early Childhood Education with paid study leave. In our unit, new staff have a mentor to help you start your work with us. Location and address: Vindängens day care and school, Vindgränden 8, 02100 Espoo. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes per week. The job is permanent.
