We are seeking for the Kittilä gold mine **Geotechnical Engineer** In this role, as a geotechnical expert within the ETW department (Environment, Tailings & Water Management), you will ensure the safe and efficient management, construction, and water management of tailings facilities in both the short and long term. Your main responsibilities include: - Maintaining, reporting, and continuously developing dam safety monitoring, as well as supporting earthworks and environmental construction projects in the facility area and the operation of the facilities - Coordinating plans: Ensuring that plans and geotechnical solutions are up-to-date and in accordance with industry best practices to ensure that facility construction is carried out safely and facility operation remains stable - Cooperation with authorities and ensuring compliance, coordinating and preparing inspections related to dams and the facility area, ensuring the implementation of follow-up actions, and reporting In this role, you will work closely with other teams and departments at the mine site, contractors, and authorities. The work is day shift and primarily requires presence at the mine. The employment is permanent.
