Job Title: Commissioning Manager Location: Oslo, Norway Start: ASAP Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Overview: A leading industrial project is looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to support delivery of a major biocarbon production facility in Norway. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing and executing all commissioning activities across a large-scale greenfield process plant. The successful candidate will lead the commissioning team and oversee the safe startup and operational readiness of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and automation systems. Essential Skills & Experience: - Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale industrial or process plant projects - Strong background in mechanical and electrical commissioning - Experience managing Instrumentation, Control & Automation systems - Experience leading multidiscipline commissioning teams - Knowledge of commissioning procedures, systemisation and handover processes - Experience with rotating equipment, utilities and process systems - Strong understanding of HSE requirements during commissioning and startup phases - Ability to coordinate across construction, engineering, operations and client teams - Previous experience within energy, power generation, petrochemical, chemical processing, biomass, waste-to-energy or industrial process plants preferred - Fluent English required Key Responsibilities: - Lead all commissioning activities across the project - Manage and coordinate the commissioning team throughout start up and handover phases - Electrical systems - Mechanical systems - Instrumentation & Control systems - Automation systems - Boilers - Gas transportation and process systems - Rotating equipment - Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and schedules - Coordinate system completion, pre-commissioning and start up activities - Ensure safe energisation and commissioning of plant systems
