Practical Nurse

As a practical nurse at Ruska, you will support the daily lives of elderly clients with a goal-oriented and rehabilitative approach in a small 11-place unit, where the strengths and needs of each client are met individually. Your role Ruska is a small 11-place unit in the center of Lieto with good transport connections. Our clients include those receiving family care and home care. You will work in a dynamic team with a client-oriented and rehabilitative approach. In this position, you will be able to utilize your own strengths and interests as part of the daily nursing work. Nursing work in rehabilitative short-term care is individual and goal-oriented. In your work, you support the clients' functional capacity and their opportunities to live in their own homes for as long as possible. In addition to nursing, you organize recreational activities for clients and participate extensively in the unit's daily operations. The work is in three shifts, and the unit is also open on weekends. What we expect from you We hope for an orientation toward elderly care, experience in caring for people with memory diseases, good interaction skills, strong teamwork skills, and previous experience in organizing recreational activities. Additionally, we require valid medication permits or their completion within one month of the start of employment. Good Finnish language skills are required for the position. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
