Hello Nurse! Would you be interested in plastic surgery nursing at the Jorvin Hospital plastic surgery ward? We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position in the HUS Support Organ and Plastic Surgery Unit at Jorvin Hospital. Our ward has 15 beds. In autumn 2026, we will move to a new hospital and new premises. Common procedures in plastic surgery include breast reconstruction, skin or soft tissue tumor surgeries, pressure ulcer, burn, congenital malformation, and various wound repair surgeries. Expertise in wound care is emphasized in the nursing work. Patients arrive at our ward often directly from the emergency department or as planned for a surgical procedure, but also via ward transfer or intensive care. Individual orientation is supported by a teaching nurse, an orientation coordinator, colleagues, an assistant head nurse, and the head nurse. Experience in caring for plastic surgery patients is an advantage but not a requirement. We support the coordination of work and leisure time through community-based and activity-oriented shift planning. We work multidisciplinarilly. The nurse's work is a three-shift system and begins on 5.10.2026 or by agreement. Jorvin Hospital has affordable parking (16€/month) and staff housing near the hospital. The position-specific salary for the nurse is 3218.18€/month plus possible experience and other supplements. The salary increases according to the salary program when your work includes special tasks requiring broad and deep expertise in addition to the demanding basic tasks of specialized medical care. You will work in the Operative Result Area, where nurses collaborate in changing emergency situations to ensure safe patient care. If necessary, you will also work outside your own ward according to jointly planned patient-centered operating models. We would like to hear more about you.
