Higher Education Intern

We are looking for a higher education intern interested in public transport official duties for a three-month paid internship from September to December. The intern's duties include assisting public transport planners in analyzing data generated from trips and real-time traffic data, planning schedules and routes, and performing minor maintenance work and inspections of stops and routes. During the internship, it is possible to collect material for a thesis, for example, by conducting observational research on passenger flows and background reports supporting traffic planning. The tasks cannot be performed remotely. The selected applicant must be a higher education student; fluency in Finnish is also a requirement. Suitable fields of study may include social sciences, geography, or transport planning. For us, the applicant's genuine interest in sustainable urban mobility is more important than the specific field of study. Local knowledge is an advantage. We require a Class B driver's license and experience driving a car. In terms of working style, you are eager to learn, collaborative, social, and possess good IT skills. We value previous work experience in customer service and skills acquired through work in interacting with different types of people. Fill in the application in the 'Apply for the job' section.
