We are now looking for a Product Designer to strengthen Sako's product development in Riihimäki. **What will you be doing?** As a Product Designer, you will participate in the design and development of new products as well as the further development of existing products. In your design work, you will consider user needs, usability, manufacturability, production costs, and the technical requirements set for the products. You will be responsible for the mechanical design of products, maintenance of manufacturing documentation and product information, and the development of products throughout their lifecycle. You will resolve technical challenges observed in production, design necessary changes, and serve as a technical expert supporting production, quality, and subcontractors to ensure smooth manufacturing and mass-production suitability. You will participate in prototype manufacturing, test planning, product validation, and ensuring compliance. Additionally, you will act as a representative for design and product development in various development projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. **What kind of expert are we looking for?** We are looking for an experienced product designer who enjoys working with technically demanding products and wants to see their own work progress from the drawing board to manufacturing. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with practical problem-solving and understands what high-quality product design means in a mass-production environment. The start date is by agreement, as soon as possible. Your place of work is in Riihimäki, and the role requires on-site presence most days of the week. Please note that due to Sako's industry, the selected person will undergo a firearms handling permit application, a drug test, and a security clearance.
