Early Childhood Education Social Worker

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Social Worker for a fixed-term position from August 17, 2026, to May 31, 2027, at Päärnäiset Day Care Center. As an Early Childhood Education Social Worker, you will work in a children's group together with an early childhood education teacher and a childcare worker. You will participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of the pedagogical activities of your group in accordance with the early childhood education plan. You are responsible for the pedagogical strengthening of the child's broad well-being, enhancing the child's self-esteem and group interaction skills. You will also strengthen the work community's culture of supporting the well-being of families with children. The Early Childhood Education Social Worker operates in educational tasks and social-pedagogical care tasks. The Early Childhood Education Social Worker promotes the inclusion and the feeling of being heard for children and families from diverse life situations and cultural backgrounds in early childhood education. Key responsibilities include: - responsibility for the group's activities to strengthen the child's holistic well-being using social-pedagogical methods - planning, implementation, and evaluation of the group's pedagogical activities in cooperation with other team members - creating, implementing, and evaluating individual early childhood education plans, with the early childhood education teacher responsible for the overall process - responsibility for cooperation with family work and child welfare services regarding the children in the group - ensuring the timeliness of early support for the child and family from the perspective of family services We value expertise in early childhood education, good interaction and community skills, and a flexible approach to work.
