Port Operations Supervisor

Savonlinna is a harbour city on Lake Saimaa; the harbour operations cover guest harbours, boat slips, excursion harbours and commercial deep-sea freight operations. We seek a permanent Harbor/Port Operations Supervisor to manage practical operations of Savonlinna's harbours. The supervisor oversees daily activities, maintenance, staff supervision, planning and safety, and collaborates with customers, contractors, and freight operators. The role combines hands-on work with supervisory duties, including harbour maintenance, repairs, and investments in collaboration with other parts of the organization. Responsibilities include organizing staff tasks, maintaining harbour structures and equipment, ensuring smooth operation of guest harbours and moorings, and coordinating with contractors. The applicant should have suitable technical training or strong practical experience in maintenance, construction, harbour or infra fields, plus supervisory experience, boating experience, a B-driver’s license, and strong teamwork and customer-service skills. Modern software usage is part of daily work. We value experience in harbour operations, infra maintenance and construction, machinery and tools, and understanding of commercial harbour or freight traffic.
