Jalkaranta School operates in the Jalkaranta multi-purpose center in Jalo, where in addition to the school, there is a daycare center, a club for pre-school children, and a library. Students in grades 1-6 study general education at our school. Additionally, the school has four special education groups. There are approximately 290 students in general education, 16 teachers, and 2 school assistants. In the special education classes, there are approximately 24 students, 6 teachers, and 8 school assistants. Important values guiding our school's activities and choices are safety, the ability to work together with others, good manners, justice and equality, as well as closeness to nature and appreciation of the environment. Eligibility requires the qualification of a subject teacher of the German language. Teacher qualifications are determined in accordance with Decree no 986/98 on the eligibility requirements for teaching staff. If no eligible applicants are found, the position may be filled by an applicant who does not have the official eligibility. Performing the duties requires good proficiency in the Finnish language. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as required by Law 504/2002 before accepting the position.
