About the role

We are looking for a childcare worker for a fixed-term position at Friisilä Day Care Centre. Our day care centre has 6 different groups. You will work in the Tähdet group for children under three years old. Our day care centre strongly emphasizes communicativeness, commitment, and cooperation skills. As an early childhood education childcare worker, you will ensure together with your team that every child is genuinely encountered during their early childhood education day. Strong teamwork is an important part of your work. In cooperation with other early childhood education staff, you will ensure the growth and development of every child in a positive atmosphere. You will be able to influence the content of your own working days by brainstorming suitable activities for children together with other educators, children, and guardians. According to your future colleagues, the most rewarding part of working as an early childhood education childcare worker is seeing the children's growth and development. In daily work, you will be supported by other early childhood education childcare workers and early childhood education teachers in the day care centre. Eligibility requirement: Eligibility in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28, Decree 753/2018 Sections 3 and 4). A vocational qualification in education and guidance, a vocational qualification in social and health care, or another equivalent degree suitable for the position, which includes or which you have supplemented with sufficiently extensive modules on childcare, education, and teaching. E.g., childcare worker, day care worker, and practical nurse (child and youth care and education training program). The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with children of preschool age.
