We are seeking a class teacher for basic education in Muonio for a fixed-term official relationship from 7.8.2026 to 31.7.2027. Work begins on Friday 7.8.2026 or as agreed. Muonio is a municipality in Tunturi-Lapland that offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities with its fells and trails. Assistance is provided in finding housing. Join our pleasant working community. There are approximately 240 students in basic education in grades 1-9. The school and groups are comfortably small. We are looking for a professional and collaborative class teacher for the 6th grade of our comprehensive school. We value good interaction and group management skills and are looking for a teacher who inspires students through their own example and interest. Experience in teaching physical education is considered an advantage. Eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff (986/1998) and remuneration is according to OVTES. The position is subject to a three (3) month probationary period. Before the selection is confirmed, the selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and an acceptable medical certificate of health within 14 days of receiving the selection decision.
