Child Day Care Worker

We are looking for a child day care worker for the Eestinmetsän day care center. The center has just undergone an expansion renovation and we will move back to our own premises after the renovation in August. From August we will have five groups in the building. Two groups start in entirely new premises and other spaces have undergone cosmetic renovations. Currently we are looking for a child day care worker for the group of children under 3 years old. In the group with you there will be one early childhood education teacher and one early childhood education assistant. A key part of your work is collaboration with the rest of the staff in the house and with families. At our place you can influence the content of your working days by ideating together with the children and your team. We have a full-time day care assistant who helps with everyday tasks. A specialized teacher and a language and culture teacher are also actively involved in the day-to-day life of the day care. You will also have the support of the principal and deputy principal who are always ready to help and support. Our day care emphasizes pedagogical competence, play and physical activity. Our staff share strong professional skills and understanding of the meaningfulness of early childhood education. It is important to us that both children and adults enjoy being here. The position is fixed-term until 31.8.2026 - 25.6.2027. Qualifications: in accordance with the Child Protection Act (540/2018, §28 and decree 753/2018 §3 and 4). A suitable qualification in pedagogy and guidance or social and health care or other equivalent qualification including extensive study modules in child care, upbringing and teaching. For example: child care assistant, day care worker and child care nurse (training program for child care and youth). Applicants must present a criminal record extract.
